Our RootsÂ
Every tree begins with a seed. This is ours.
Chapter One:Â Rooted in Curiosity

My journey into wellness began long before I knew what wellness truly meant.
As a child, I spent countless hours outside surrounded by animals, trees, gardens, and open fields. Nature was my playground. I instinctively explored the world around me, creating imaginary "meals" from leaves, berries, sticks, mud, and grass without realizing I was planting the very first seeds of what would later become my passion for herbalism.
I didn't know it then, but those moments taught me to slow down, observe, ask questions, and appreciate the intelligence of the natural world.
Those early experiences would become the roots of everything that followed.
Chapter Two: When Health Became Personal
Â
Although I loved nature, my own health told a different story.
Growing up, my family's meals were filled with fried foods, processed ingredients, canned goods, and very little fresh produce. Over time those habits began to take their toll.
I struggled with weight, pre-diabetes, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, acne-prone skin, and recurring urinary tract infections. Like many people, I found myself caught in a cycle of doctor's visits, prescriptions, and temporary solutions that rarely addressed why I wasn't feeling well in the first place.
Eventually, I stopped asking, "What can I take?"
I started asking, "Why is this happening?"
That single question changed the direction of my life.
Chapter Three: Following the Science
Â
I've always been fascinated by life.
That passion led me to Medaille University, where I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology. For years, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian because caring for animals felt like my calling.
As I progressed through college, particularly during organic chemistry, something shifted.
My interests naturally gravitated toward botany, ecology, and the remarkable ways plants interact with living systems. The deeper I studied biology, the more I realized I wasn't only interested in understanding life. I wanted to understand how the body heals and how nature has supported that process for generations.
Science gave me the framework. Nature gave me the perspective.
Together, they shaped the foundation of my approach to wellness.
Chapter Four: Choosing Purpose
Â
During my senior year of college, life slowed me down in the best possible way.
Pregnancy gave me time to reflect, embrace motherhood, and reconsider the path I thought I was supposed to follow.
Twenty-four hours after graduating, I experienced something I couldn't explain.
Despite accomplishing what I had worked so hard for, I felt incomplete.
As a first-generation college graduate and the only Black girl to earn a Biology degree from my university, I thought reaching that milestone would bring clarity.
Instead, it revealed a deeper truth.
My purpose was waiting inside the lives of people I could serve.
That realization led me to study herbalism through the Herbal Academy, where I began exploring traditional plant medicine alongside my scientific education. Before long, I became the person family and friends turned to for natural wellness guidance, and what started as curiosity slowly became a calling.
Â
Chapter Five: Growing Together
Â
Around this same time, my partner Tyler and I were learning how to become parents together.
More importantly, we were learning how to build a life that higlighted health and understanding our purpose and service.
Tyler consistently saw potential in me that I hadn't fully recognized in myself. His encouragement challenged me to believe that this vision could become something real.
After welcoming our child through a water birth, Tyler was deeply impacted by witnessing the strength, vulnerability, and beauty of birth firsthand. Inspired by that experience, he chose to become a certified birth doula so he could provide compassionate support to growing families during one of life's most meaningful moments.
He later expanded his knowledge as a Certified Personal Trainer, allowing him to help others build strength, improve mobility, and develop confidence through intentional movement.
Our skills complement one another naturally.
My background in biology, massage therapy, and herbal wellness pairs with Tyler's expertise in movement, strength, and birth support to create a more complete approach to health.
Together, we've built Fruitful Vibrations on the belief that true wellness isn't found in a single treatment. It's cultivated through education, consistency, movement, nourishment, and genuine care.

Chapter Six
The Mission Continues

Fruitful Vibrations is more than a massage practice.
It's the result of years of questioning, learning, healing, and growing.
Every service we provide reflects the lessons we've learned along the way: that the body deserves to be understood, and that lasting health is built from the ground up.
Whether someone walks through our doors seeking pain relief, stress reduction, movement, or simply a moment to breathe, our hope is that they leave feeling more connected to themselves than when they arrived.
